From 27 to 30 July 2026, Barcelona welcomed a group of international educators for the training course “AI for Inclusion: Designing Inclusive Learning with Artificial Intelligence”, delivered by Matching Cottons Consultancy.
Over four intensive and highly interactive days, participants explored how Artificial Intelligence can be used to create more inclusive, accessible and personalised learning experiences while maintaining a strong focus on pedagogical quality and ethical responsibility.
The course combined expert input, collaborative discussions, practical workshops and authentic educational case studies, enabling participants to critically examine both the opportunities and challenges that AI presents for schools and teachers. Particular attention was given to identifying barriers to learning and participation, supporting diverse learners, improving accessibility, and using AI tools to enhance differentiation and student engagement.
Throughout the training, participants designed inclusive learning activities, developed practical resources for their own educational contexts, and reflected on how AI can help reduce teacher workload while promoting meaningful learning for all students. The programme also encouraged professional dialogue and the exchange of best practices among educators from different countries and educational backgrounds.
Barcelona itself became an extension of the learning environment, providing inspiration for discussions on inclusive educational design and demonstrating how learning can be meaningfully connected to real-world contexts.
By the end of the course, participants had gained practical strategies, new digital competences and concrete implementation plans to support the responsible integration of Artificial Intelligence in their schools and organisations.
